OPTIONAL TENSILKUT SUBSYSTEMS

Motor Speed Control

The Tensilkut motor speed control is an electronic control designed specifically for use with the Tensilkut high speed motors.  It permits infinite variations of motor speed from 10% to full speed with minimal loss of power.  The motor speed control can increase cutter life and improve surface finishes on certain metals and plastics.  It is also ideal for use with plastics having a low melting point, for the reduction of motor speed correspondingly reduces the heat generated by the Tensilbit.  It is suggested that the motor speed control be ordered with the Tensilkut machine, although it can be retrofitted at a later date.

Tensilmist for Lubrication/Cooling

The Tensilmist consists of a one-quart reservoir mounted on the Tensilkut machine, with neoprene hoses and brass nozzles installed through the table and control head.  It is used most frequently for cooling of metal samples during the cutting process, although it is also successful at reducing the amount of dust generated during the preparation of samples from such materials as fiberglass and Kevlar; this is achieved by spraying a fine mist of water on the cutter and sample during the cutting operation.  The regulator on top of the reservoir allows the spray to be adjusted for optimum performance.  A minimum of 50-PSI clean air line is required for the Tensilmist.  The Tensilmist must be ordered with the Tensilkut machine and installed when the machine is built.  It can be used on all models 10-10 through 10-70.  The Tensilmist is only retrofitted to an existing machine at an extra charge.

Tensilvac Chip Reduction System

The Tensilvac is ideal for removal of much of the dust and chips created when cutting non-metallic materials such as plastic, fiberglass, Kevlar, ceramics and composites.  Additionally, it will pick up chips formed by cutting metals and heavier materials.  The Tensilvac system includes a wet/dry vacuum canister and the necessary slots machined in the control head and table of the Tensilkut machine to enable collection of dust and chips during the cutting process.  Tensilvac must be ordered with the Tensilkut machine and installed when the machine is built.  It can be installed on all models 10-10 through 10-70.  Retrofitting to an existing machine is done only at an extra charge.

The Tensilvac can also be installed on a Tensilsaw, if ordered with the machine.
